Where your donations go

We are often asked how much of the money donated is actually spent on our projects, and how much is spent on administration and fundraising.

As a small charity, we do not have the economies of scale that larger organisations enjoy; even so, we are proud of the progress we have made in cutting our costs and maximising direct programme support.

Our latest draft accounts show that 91% of our total donations, in cash and in kind, directly benefits our UK and overseas programmes.

This compares well with Concern (84%), Save The Children (80%) and Christian Aid (69%) - and is even better than last year's figure of 81.5%.

We are not complacent; our efforts to drive down costs and get best value for money where we can will continue, so that we can give the children who depend on us as much as we are able.
